The Dancing Wall
光舞墙
“The dancing wall” is a meeting point between technology, art and architecture. The entrance of the information center needed a special element to signal its presence and induce surprise, excitement and interest for the by-passers as well as the users. The glass brick’s wall and canopy generates a transition space between the pedestrian street and the information center.
During the day we can experiment a space that is gathering elements of the inside and the outside together. Sunshine without wind, feeling the street without really seeing it …At night we wanted to push into the night the enigmatic nature of this space but this time by giving life to the wall and canopy with incorporated lights illuminating each brick and providing them with an unlimited possibility of color combination.
This light distribution was emphasizing the horizontal and vertical elements regulating the structure. But our intention is to transcend and get beyond the very simple grid of the glass brick’s wall. The resolution is way too low to be able to represent recognizable elements. But we can though careful programing convey movements and combinations evocating complex and fluids phenomenon like clouds, fire or sounds. The wall can become the medium of poetic presentations that will impress and touch the audience.
“光舞墙”是技术、艺术与建筑的结合体。作为壹中心的入口，需要一个特别的元素来彰显它的风采，从而给路人及使用者惊喜，让他们激动与赞叹。玻璃砖墙及顶棚的结合体将成为步行道路与壹中心之间的过渡体。
在白天，我们能体验一个结合了内部元素与外部元素一起的空间。在空间内，能体会到阳光的照射却没有街道外的大风，感觉到与看到的不一样的大街。在晚上我们想置入一个神秘的自然空间，但是这个时候给予玻璃墙与顶生命的是让每一个砖块照亮的光源以及让它们有无限变化的组合。
光的分部是以横向及竖向的元素强调规则的结构。但是我们的目的是超越简单风格的玻璃砖墙。因为比较低的分辨率太低不能体现出能识别的元素，但我们竭尽所能的编程传达动作和组合引发复杂的流体现象，像云,火或声音一样。玻璃墙将成为诗意的展示媒介吸引并打动观众。
